Since my last post was all about my love for over-the-knee boots, I figured I’d post an OOTD featuring my new favorite pair, the Sam Edelman “Taylan”. I spotted these boots when they were released last fall, and stalked them until they went on sale. Lucky for me, they stuck around in my size and in the color I wanted. Not so lucky however, I ordered them from Nordstrom for $230 (down from $325) and now they’re on sale direct from Sam Edelman for only $118, which I literally can’t believe – at that price they’re a steal (and I’m kind of kicking myself)!!! Anyway, enough about that little bit of misfortune…at least I’ve enjoyed wearing them these past few weeks. I styled this particular look for a work-related lunch meeting in Claremont. Since it’s still coolish here, I decided to go the slouchy sweater dress route. I think this is more of an oversized sweater than an actual dress, but first of all I’m super short, annnnnd they didn’t have an xs, so I bought the small instead with plans to wear it like a dress. As tiny as I am, you can see this look still works for my petite frame. Some people say short girls can’t wear high boots, or long dresses, etc. As a professional stylist, I don’t believe those “don’ts” are so cut and dry. My size is not a barrier to what I can and can’t wear. I believe this is true for women of all shapes, sizes, and ages. It’s more about making fashion work for you, which takes a bit of knowledge, creativity, and of course confidence.

Well at least you didn\’t completely pay full price, I guess. Grr.
OMG Cotrina I know :/
I so agree: the only limits of personal fashion choice is what looks good and feels good and you look better than good. As usual your combination of clothes and accessories is a work of art!
Thank you Xoxo
