Did you know that May 1st is historically referred to as May Day? \u00a0Though it’s not widely celebrated in the U.S., May Day is a traditional spring holiday in many cultures. \u00a0It’s origins date back to ancient Rome, where they marked the date with a festival to honor the upcoming summer season. May is an absolutely beautiful time here in So Cal because we have so much incredible foliage in bloom. Not to mention the weather is perfect – not too hot, not too cold, and there’s always a warm breeze across the air. \u00a0That being said, I’m SO EXCITED to to announce a fun little campaign I’m running for the month of May. \u00a0It’s the perfect time of year for a beautiful maxi dress and I can’t even tell you how much I love maxis. \u00a0They’re fluid and elegant, modest yet sexy, and oh so flattering for a variety of body types. I love how a maxi dress makes a statement with just a single article of clothing. \u00a0As you might imagine, I own quite a few, so I’ve had this idea brewing for a while… I thought it would be fun to dedicate an entire month to just wearing maxis, and I plan to feature all of my favorites on the blog throughout the month, beginning with this pretty little floral dress<\/a> from Express.<\/p>\n

This dress is honestly stunning and I love the feminine details. \u00a0(Funny fact – my UPS guy legit drove past and honked his horn as we were shooting this look up the road from my house. \u00a0At least now he might be less confused about all the packages I get!) \u00a0Since Express started selling petites<\/a> (sometime last year) I was able to wear it without hemming it first, which is aways a plus. \u00a0I linked the regular length above, but it’s still available in limited sizes in the petite version<\/a> as well. \u00a0The best part is that it’s on clearance now and sooooo inexpensive – so jump on it!!!<\/p>\n
