Just a brief post to say hello! \u00a0My blog has been quiet for a looooong while as last year was one of the hardest of my life. \u00a0As many of you know my dad passed away, and it wasn’t a quick and painless goodbye. \u00a0To watch a parent suffer with cancer and slowly waste away – his last weeks are something I mostly wish I could forget though I know I never will. \u00a0I spent a couple of months quietly grieving and trying to decompress. \u00a0Even now the grief comes in waves and I miss him everyday. \u00a0Couple that with the fact that all of last year was an adjustment in terms of being a new mom. \u00a0It’s a 24\/7 responsibility and it’s no joke. \u00a0To top it off, I couldn’t even relax over the holidays as I had to plan and prep for a two month trip to Europe. \u00a0Sounds great, but not when you’re location hopping in foreign countries with a feisty one-year-old and all her gear. \u00a0I spent most of the year feeling anxious and overwhelmed. Not depressed but seriously burnt out. \u00a0Although I love blogging, it wasn’t the first thing on my mind…<\/p>\n

That being said, when I’m not blogging I ALWAYS miss it. \u00a0No matter how tired I am, I constantly desire to return to the creative process. \u00a0Unfortunately it’s a lot harder now because I’m home with Bianca most of the time. \u00a0I love my daughter to bits but I can’t wait til she starts preschool! \u00a0Until then I don’t think I’ll have the ability to blog consistently. \u00a0However, I definitely want to get back to it and I plan on posting content throughout the year even if I can’t do it all the time. \u00a0The look above was spontaneous and I felt like putting it up because I’m itching to get back to work. \u00a0Europe was freezing so when I returned to a very warm January in LA I thought OMG where did the winter go? \u00a0It’s been 100% spring weather until now. \u00a0Suddenly as February comes to an end, the temperature has dropped and we might even get some snow in the mountains. \u00a0This look is just a casual day running errands for me. \u00a0I love red sweaters and this one has some fun open-knit detail. \u00a0It’s sold out but you can shop a nearly identical style here<\/a>\u00a0which happens to be on sale!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
