In a recent post for Urban Darling<\/a> I mentioned that I’d been planning a trip to Tulum earlier this year. \u00a0Unfortunately, when I found out I was pregnant, the trip was pretty much nixed due to Zika. \u00a0Plus we realized we could really stand to save the money. \u00a0Although I didn’t get my fabulous tropical vacation, we did spend this past weekend down by the water. \u00a0We spent one day exploring San Pedro, LA’s original port city, and another day visiting family in quaint Manhattan Beach. \u00a0These pictures were snapped around the harbor in San Pedro. \u00a0We stayed at the Double Tree<\/a> right on the marina…it was very comfortable and picturesque.<\/p>\n

I adore this lightweight tropical dress<\/a> I spotted at H&M. \u00a0I sized up from a 2 to a 4 and it will probably fit for the duration of the summer because it’s so loose and breezy. \u00a0I styled this look with a vintage kukui nut lei from Hawaii – this necklace is wayyyy special to me because my grandmother got it on a trip to Hawaii back in the 60’s, and a few years ago (knowing how much I loved it) she gifted it to me! \u00a0I’m also wearing my favorite gladiator sandals<\/a> and beloved Prada sunglasses<\/a>. \u00a0After exploring the harbor, we grabbed dinner at this famed Italian restaurant<\/a> in downtown San Pedro.<\/p>\n
