I’m sure some of you have noticed that I haven’t blogged in like a million years…(i.e. since February). \u00a0The truth is, something traumatic happened in mid February that sent me into a temporary (but very intense) depression. \u00a0For several months I cried myself to sleep at night and woke up every morning with a feeling of hopelessness. \u00a0Now in mid May, I’m feeling decidedly better. \u00a0I’m still not my former carefree self, but (fingers crossed)\u00a0I’m on my way. \u00a0 Since I have some energy back, I realize how much I’ve missed blogging, and I happen to have a small backlog of looks that were shot right before things got crazy. \u00a0This look was shot on a casual Sunday, while hanging out with my friend\/assistant\/fellow blogger Jessica<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I scored these amazing slouchy lounge pants<\/a> at a favorite local spot in Claremont. \u00a0I’ve been shopping Amelie<\/a> for years. \u00a0It’s a few blocks from my hubby’s office office, so I’ll often pop in after a visit with bae. \u00a0I kept it neutral for this look with a grey tee and my all-time favorite faux fur vest. \u00a0The sunnies are Quay X Shay (sooooo close to sold out<\/a>) and the necklace is vintage – a gift from my grandmother many years ago. \u00a0I love being comfortable when I don’t have meetings or events, so this pretty much epitomizes my everyday style.<\/p>\n
